When are the Weekend Box-Office numbers released?

Every Sunday morning by 9:30 a.m. PST our estimated chart of the Top 12 weekend performers is e-mailed and faxed to our clients. The chart also includes relevant comparisons to last year’s comparable weekend and other pertinent statistics. The final Top 12 & Top 20 is released by mid-day each Monday, along with grosses for all films in the marketplace available by mid/late-afternoon.

Is there a Daily Box-Office Top 12?

At mid-day every Tuesday through Friday, Media by Numbers makes available a chart of the previous day’s Top 12 performers at the box-office. This is an essential tool for keeping track of the mid-week box-office derby which is a great barometer to gauge the strength (or weakness) of the marketplace.

Does Media by Numbers offer a Theatrical Release Calendar?

Yes. As a matter of fact we offer two distinct release formats. The first provides a breakdown of theatrical releases by competitive weekend and the second presents a listing of release dates on a studio by studio basis.

How do you deliver your data feeds?

Our primary mode of delivery is via e-mail. However, for many of our services we offer Fax delivery as well as good old-fashioned U.S. postal service when our clients require such methods. Our website is also allowing us to provide information and services in new and expanding ways.

Can I try your service for a couple of weeks and then decide?

We believe in our products and services and know you will agree once you have tried them. We will be happy to provide our data feeds for two weeks to prospective clients so they may make an informed and confident decision to go with our service.

Where does Media by Numbers get its box-office grosses and release dates?

We gather our data directly from the film studios. All of the box-office data and release date information that Media by Numbers provides to its clients are approved by and verified with each film distributor. No data is taken from second-hand sources.

Yes. Media by Numbers specializes in creating charts and tables based on specific criteria requested by our clients.
